Early Autumn Pastels: Maddie + Daniel

From the rustic beams in their venue to the touches of gold on their signage to votives, Maddie and Daniel’s wedding was truly inspiring. With early autumn pastels for their flower theme. We had the opportunity to use fall flowers that are specific to the September time of year here on the farm.

How They Met

Maddie and Daniel met through mutual friends and spent tons of time together getting to know each other, initially driving and talking in Daniel’s “fancy truck”. When they started to officially date they went to a local arcade!

Talking about those initial dates she always specifically remembers spending at least 45 minutes at the claw machine! He was so determined to fill a large trash bag with these glow-in-the-dark balls… and he did!

The favorite one was the rubber duck claw machines which they still specifically go to Friendly’s for.

Needless to say, whenever he sees a claw machine while out there, you best bet he’s gonna spend at least 45 minutes trying to collect as many things as he can!

Set up Story

The classic and clean green, pink, and white wedding look fits all parts of this day!

Worsell Manor is a venue that in itself is timeless. From its old-fashioned farmhouse to the gardens that surround it and the barn for reception. A classic look of early autumn pastels with green and white, and touches of pastel fit this day perfectly.

Ceremony Space

Importantly, our wooden arch was adorned with softly draped fabric, using floral tie-backs for a romantic feel and early autumn pastels in the ceremony space right in front of the Worsell Manor House.

The ring bearer walking in with his junior boutonniere and mini man boots along with the flower girl arriving in a wagon with her mini flower crown stole the show!

Personals

Nevertheless, her early autumn pastels classic style bouquet matched with the aesthetic of the venue. Along with her bridesmaids bouquets tied all the florals together for the ceremony space!

The important ladies in the couple’s lives all wore corsages that matched the palette of the wedding. As well as during the ceremony, Daniel’s pocket square hid the microphone well!

Reception Space

Maddie and Daniel’s reception was tucked in the gorgeous barn with exposed beams and a rustic feel. In particular, the round tables were adorned with a collection of scattered vases and votive candles, simple golden chargers, and blush cheese cloth napkins.

A scattering of loose greens softened the vases and table number adding a flair for the gardens that are all around the Worsell Manor grounds.

Afterwards, the ceremony floral arch tie-backs were repurposed to the reception space as part of the sweetheart table. The dance floor was right up front for everyone to see them as they danced the night away!

Repurposing your ceremony florals is one of our favorite ways to make sure you’re letting them live up to their full potential after everyone has left the ceremony space.

Maddie and Daniel’s wedding was created with love within the family. And design to reflect the love they share with eachother. A perfect twist on a color palette not usually asked for in autumn.

Florals Used:

In addition to this classic color palette used florals including gerbera daisies, fancy cactus zinnias, specialty mums, cosmos, scabiosa (also known as pincushion flower), eucalyptus, ferns, and some acuba.
